Refugees

There are 3 types of asylum status in Denmark.

An asylum seeker is a person who requests the right to remain in Denmark as a refugee in order to be protected.

The 3 types of refugees are

1. Convention status

2. Protected status

3. Quota status

Because the number of refugees is the highest since 1945, Denmark has granted one year residence permits to people who face capital punishment, torture or inhumane or degrading treatment or punishment due to severe instability and indiscriminate violence against civilians in their home country.

Residence permit is granted for one year
